Calling All Young Writers and Illustrators!
Submissions are now open for the Fishy Stories story competition!
From 8th July to 14th September 2024, students in Grades 1 to Year 8 across Australia can submit their original short stories or picture stories for a chance to shine. The winning entries will be professionally performed at the upcoming Festival of Stories on November 17, 2024, in Fish Creek. All stories will also be published in an eBook and displayed at the festival.
To enter, participants must be Australian residents in Grades 1 to Year 8. Short stories should be no more than 350 words, while picture stories are limited to eight panels over two pages, with a maximum of two sentences per panel. Each entrant can submit one original story or picture story.
Key dates to remember: Entries open on 8 July 2024 and close on 14 September 2024. Twenty final entries will be selected in October 2024, with the top stories showcased at the Fish Creek Festival of Stories on 17 November 2024.
