Established in 2018, our regular Wonthaggi Library knitters are a group of dedicated volunteers who look after our community and wrap others up in warmth and have done so for the last 6 years.
After a recent discussion with our Volunteer Cath, we discovered that not only does she assist by facilitating this group but liaises with the local community houses, lions’ clubs and contributes to community cupboards.
Recently through her collaboration with other knitting community members, they have donated knitted blankets and clothing to families in the Ukraine.
Cath is a great advocate for people in need in the community and represents Myli Libraries through her warm engagement. Her valuable contribution to Wonthaggi Library and Bass Coast has enabled more connections to blossom.
We would like to acknowledge her continued efforts and thank Cath and ALL the Close-knit Social Group for continuing to fill our Library space with such Close-Knit connections.
