Seed Library

Are you keen to start your own garden at home? Join our free seed library at Pakenham Library, Emerald Library, Drouin Library, Inverloch Library, Leongatha Library, Mirboo North Library and Wonthaggi Library and start planting!

  • How does it work?

    Borrow –

Explore our diverse selection and choose up to three different types of seeds per season, all completely free of charge. Whether you’re just starting out or have a green thumb, our seed library welcomes gardeners of all levels.

    Grow –

Once you’ve selected your seeds, nurture them at home in pots or directly in your garden soil. Watch in awe as they thrive and reward you with a bounty of fresh produce.

    Save –

Feeling generous? Pay it forward by saving harvested seeds from your plants and donating them to the library. We provide packaging and guidance to assist you. If you have leftover seeds from half-empty packets at home, consider donating them back to our collection.

New seeds will be released each season, so you will soon have plenty of fresh produce growing in your garden!

  • Seeds on offer -

Each season, we introduce new varieties, including seeds generously donated by members of our community. Expect a diverse array of seeds to choose from, all adapted to our local climate for greater gardening success.
